An exhibition catalogue of Alessandro Castellani's antiquities and maiolica shown in Memorial Hall at the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition, issued by the Italian Centennial Commission and printed by Edward Stern & Company for fairgoers and collectors. The wood-engraved cuts record potters' marks, painted signatures and dates, dish backs, and a profile bust of a woman in a braided headdress framed by ribbon scrolls, giving designers ready-made monograms, ceramic ornament, and roundel portrait framing.
