Nautical science in its relation to practical navigation, together with a study of the tides and tidal currents
A 1910 textbook of nautical astronomy and tidal theory by Charles Lane Poor, published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in New York and London for navigators and students. The line diagrams show orbital ellipses with hatched bands, a globe ruled with arrow fields for tidal pull, and lettered ray and angle figures with small engraved stars, usable as geometric marks and arrow patterns.
