Cyclomathesis : or, An easy introduction to the several branches of the mathematics; being principally designed for the instruction of young students, before they enter upon the more abtruse and difficult parts thereof
A ten-volume mathematics course by William Emerson, printed in London for J. Nourse in 1763 for students preparing for advanced study; this copy came from John Quincy Adams's library. The plates are engraved geometric figures numbered in sequence across the sheet circles with inscribed squares, tangent constructions, conic curves with letter-labelled points and fine hatched lines usable as diagrammatic line art.
