Dactyliothecae, seu Annulorum sigillarium quorum priscos tam Graecos quam Romanos usus, ex ferro, aere, argento & auro promptuarii ... Collectis aliunde & ineditis & editis annulorum figuris auctior;
A Latin antiquarian catalogue of ancient engraved gems and signet rings, compiled by Abraham van Goorle and reissued with additions by Jacobus Gronovius in Leiden in 1695 for collectors and scholars of classical antiquities. Each plate sets four or five numbered circles on a hatched ground, filled with line-engraved intaglio subjects — winged figures, standing deities, a ram's head, an eagle — under small ruled tablets naming the stone; useful for roundel motifs, medallion layouts and compact figure silhouettes.
