A collection of art notes and sketches of Portuguese places and craftsmen, written by the ceramics scholar José Queiroz and illustrated by Roque Gameiro and Santos Silva, published in Lisbon by Imprensa Libanio da Silva in 1909 for readers interested in decoration and national craft. The drawings are printed as single-colour line blocks in blue, orange, green and olive, covering carved doorways, ceramic and tile panels, wrought-iron scrollwork and chapter-head ornament, giving designers ready-made spot motifs and coloured hatching textures.
