Das perfide Albion
A German wartime collection of anti-British political caricatures assembled by Alfred Geiser and issued by Velhagen & Klasing in Bielefeld and Leipzig in 1915 for a home-front reading public. The 42 plates are pen-and-ink cartoons reprinted from European satirical papers: John Bull, Uncle Sam, Cossacks and colonial troops drawn in thick contour line with flat black masses, hatched shading, map labels and dotted frames.
