A German technical manual on X-ray procedure for military medicine, written by Walther Stechow with O. Schjerning and published in Berlin by August Hirschwald in 1903 for army surgeons and field hospital staff. Wood-engraved and halftone plates show induction coils, Crookes tubes in wooden frames, interrupters and switch keys, all lettered with reference keys usable as apparatus diagrams or engineering ornament.
