Das Seifersdorfer Thal
Wilhelm Gottlieb Becker's 1792 guide to the Seifersdorf valley near Dresden, a sentimental landscape garden laid out by Christina von Brühl, with etched plates by Johann Adolph Darnstedt for German garden enthusiasts and travellers. The plates are upright wooded views built from dense stipple and fine hatching, framing urns, huts, rustic bridges, inscribed stones and small temples among birches, pines and willows.
