David d'Angers et ses relations littéraires : correspondance du maître avec Victor Hugo ... [et al.]
Henry Jouin's edition of the sculptor Pierre-Jean David d'Angers's letters to Victor Hugo and other writers, published by Plon, Nourrit in Paris in 1890 for art historians and collectors of Romantic-era literary papers. The two plates are wood engravings: a bearded profile head cut out of a dense black stipple burst, and a printer's device with a monogrammed shield, bee, oak branch and ribbon scrolls carrying the motto LABOR OMNIA VINCIT IMPROBUS.
