De atramentis cujuscunque generis. Opus sanè novum, hactenus à nemine promulgatum. In sex descriptiones digestum
A Latin treatise on inks of every kind by the Italian physician Pietro Maria Canepari, printed in London in 1660 by John Martyn for the booksellers Martin, Alestry and Dicas, aimed at apothecaries, chemists and printers. The pictures are small woodcut initials and a foliate headpiece band, cut in coarse black line with hatched leaves, scrolling vines, an urn of foliage and a hooded figure inside an H — usable as drop caps, rules and ornamental dividers.
