Debod bis Bab Kalabsche
An archaeological record of the Nubian temples between Debod and Bab Kalabsha, compiled by Günther Roeder with Friedrich Zucker for the Egyptian Antiquities Service and published in Cairo by the Institut français d'archéologie orientale in 1911, part of the salvage survey of monuments threatened by the Aswan dam. The plates are halftone photographs of sandstone blocks, doorways and sunk-relief walls, often with a graduated measuring rod in frame, giving eroded hieroglyphic columns, offering scenes with kings and gods, and mottled stone surfaces usable as texture.
