Decoration & furniture of town houses; a series of Cantor lectures delivered before the Society of arts, 1880, amplified and enl.
Robert W. Edis expanded his 1880 Cantor lectures to the Society of Arts into an 1881 design manual, issued in New York by Scribner and Welford for architects, decorators and householders furnishing town houses. Line-engraved plates give perspective views of dining rooms, halls and sideboard recesses, plus sheets of hardware details: door plates, rim locks, bell levers, keys, fenders and carved panels.
