Decorative painting
A 1912 Scribner's survey of mural painting and architectural decoration, issued in New York for architects, decorators and muralists documenting recent American and European schemes. The 475 plates are halftone photographs of murals in place — lunettes, proscenium walls, coffered ceilings and painted friezes — yielding processional figure groups, foliate borders, strapwork cartouches and panel layouts fitted to awkward arches and vaults.
