Decorative textiles; an illustrated book on coverings for furniture, walls and floors, including damasks, brocades and velvets, tapestries, laces, embroideries, chintzes, cretonnes, drapery and furniture trimmings, wall papers, carpets and rugs, tooled and illuminated leathers
George Leland Hunter's 1918 survey of furnishing fabrics, published by Lippincott in Philadelphia and London for decorators, dealers and collectors, covers damasks, brocades, velvets, tapestries, lace, chintz, wallpaper, carpets and tooled leather. Halftone plates photograph fabric panels flat and close, giving repeating floral and scrollwork grounds, armorial lace borders, striped brocade panels and worn pile surfaces usable as patterns and textures.
