De Hibernia & antiquitatibus ejus, disquisitiones
A Latin antiquarian study of Ireland by Sir James Ware, printed in London by E. Tyler for John Crook in 1658 for scholars of Irish history and monastic institutions. The woodcuts are small and linear: obverse-and-reverse coin diagrams in ruled borders, outlined heraldic shields charged with crosses, a stringed lyre, and inked scrollwork headpieces—useful as spot ornaments, numismatic plates, and blazon line art.
