De inlandsche kunstnijverheid in Nederlandsch Indië
A volume of Jasper and Pirngadie's government-sponsored survey of indigenous crafts in the Dutch East Indies, issued at The Hague in 1912 with plates drawn by the Javanese painter Mas Pirngadie for colonial administrators, collectors and craft schools. The plates reproduce whole ikat and woven cloths in flat colour: vertical bands of hooked lozenges, stylised figures and fringed ends in rust red, ochre and indigo-black, usable as repeat borders, stripe systems and limited palettes.
