De inlandsche kunstnijverheid in Nederlandsch Indië
A Dutch colonial survey of native craft industries in the Netherlands East Indies, compiled by J. E. Jasper with plates painted by the Javanese artist Mas Pirngadie and issued in The Hague in 1912 for administrators, collectors and craft schools. The plates reproduce batik, ikat and woven textiles at close range: dense brown-and-cream wax-resist fields of birds and foliage, red spiral grounds with black medallions, diamond lattices holding orange rosettes, and framed panels with fringed borders and meander edges, usable as repeat patterns, border strips and colour pairings.
