Dekorative skvlptvr: figvr, ornament, architektvrplastik avs den havptepochen der kvnst
A German plate portfolio of decorative sculpture compiled by Georg Kowalczyk and issued in Berlin in 1910 for architects, modellers and ornament draughtsmen, surveying figure carving, ornament and architectural detail across the main periods of art. The 232 collotype photographs record marble and stone reliefs in raking light: acanthus and palmette borders, vine scrolls with putti, griffins fighting beasts, egg-and-dart cornices and reclining figures, useful as source material for carved-ornament motifs, border repeats and shaded relief texture.
