De levens-beschryvingen der Nederlandsche konst-schilders en konst-schilderessen, met een uytbreyding over de schilder-konst der ouden
A Dutch-language biographical dictionary of Netherlandish painters written by Jacob Campo Weyerman and published at The Hague in 1729 for collectors, connoisseurs and the art trade, with engraved plates after Jacobus Houbraken. The plates group two or three artists' heads on draped sheets inside ornamental frames, alongside headpieces built from strapwork cartouches, leafy garlands, grimacing masks and small garden-and-house vignettes, useful for portrait clusters, frame borders and engraved rococo ornament.
