Dell'architettura : dialogi
Ermenegildo Pini's Dell'architettura: dialogi, printed in Milan by the Stamperia Marelliana in 1770, sets out architectural theory as dialogues for students and practitioners of building and fortification. The engraved plates group numbered geometric diagrams on one sheet — arch and vault profiles, hatched wall sections, circles inscribed in squares, star-shaped bastion plans — all lettered with fine copperplate labels and usable as line-drawing ornament or technical texture.
