Giovanni Cadioli's 1763 guide to the paintings, sculpture and architecture of Mantua and its surroundings, printed in Mantua by the heir of Alberto Pazzoni for visiting travellers. The letterpress ornament is woodcut: inhabited initials with acanthus scrollwork or miniature hatched landscapes of towers and trees, plus symmetrical tailpieces with eagles, swags and foliate volutes usable as small rules and spot decoration.
