Lodovico Antonio Muratori's treatise on good taste in the sciences and arts, printed by Niccolò Pezzana in Venice in 1742 for scholarly readers. The pictures are small letterpress woodcut ornaments: winged cherub heads, scrolling acanthus, covered urns, and a putti-flanked headpiece, useful as dividers, tailpieces, and corner motifs at small sizes.
