Regola delli cinque ordini d'architettura
Vignola's canon of the five architectural orders, first engraved in 1562 and reissued in Rome in 1718 by Matteo Gregorio Rossi as a working manual for architects, masons and drawing students. Full-page copperplate elevations show columns, arcades, pedestals, cornices and capitals with module figures and handwritten-style Italian notes set into panels, giving designers clean profile silhouettes, arch frames and hatched moulding details.
