A Venetian practical-mathematics manual of 1564, written in Italian by the Florentine humanist Cosimo Bartoli and printed by Francesco Franceschi for surveyors, builders and gentlemen measuring land, buildings and perspective by Euclidean rule. The 237 woodcuts are bare line diagrams with lettered vertices, plus instruments, sighting scenes and town views, useful as geometric marks, technical ornament and diagram vocabulary.
