A Latin oration on the nature and origin of comets, delivered by the Danish scholar Ægidius Lauridsen of Ribe and printed by Bonaventura Schmidt in 1593 for university readers and the dedicatee, Chancellor Arnold Huitfeldt. The scans hold an engraved armorial bookplate with griffin supporters in an octagonal strapwork frame above a blank scroll cartouche, a combed marbled paper cover, and a small-format dedication page in mixed roman and italic type.
