A Latin verse pamphlet on the comet of 1577, written by the Danish cleric Jens Nielsen Hak and printed by Stephan Möllemann for scholarly readers of astronomical portents. The surviving plate is an armorial bookplate pasted inside the cover: an octagonal frame, a plain shield flanked by winged beast supporters and foliate mantling, crowned by plumes, with an empty ribbon cartouche below ready for a name.
