Historia deorum fatidicorum, vatum, sibyllarum, phoebadum, apud priscos illustrium : cum eorum iconibus : praeposita est disertatio de divinatione et oraculis
A Latin treatise on oracles, prophets and sibyls of antiquity, compiled by the Genevan pastor Pierre Mussard and printed by Pierre Chouët in Geneva in 1675 for scholars of classical religion and divination. Each chapter opens with a small copperplate of a single standing figure in draped robes and pointed headdress, flanked by carved altars, palm fronds, tripods, skulls and flame, printed over showthrough text; useful for emblematic figure silhouettes, attribute objects and altar ornament.
