De phoenice, in numismate imp. Antonini Caracallae expressa : epistola Gabrielidis Carolae Patinae
A Latin letter on the phoenix as it appears on a coin of Antoninus Caracalla, credited to Charles Patin's circle and printed in Venice in 1683 for antiquaries and coin collectors. Line engravings show Roman coins in obverse-reverse pairs: laureate profile busts, circular lettered legends, and reverses with phoenixes on globes, Victories, seated personifications and mint marks, usable as roundels, medallion frames and small emblem spots.
