Der chinesische farbendruck
Julius Kurth's German-language study of Chinese colour woodblock printing, published by C. F. Schulz & Co. in Plauen im Vogtland in 1922 for art historians and print collectors. The plates reproduce album leaves in pale grey halftone: flowering branches, peonies, birds perched on eroded rocks, and blocks of brush-written inscription set against wide empty paper, useful for outline botanical motifs and asymmetric page layouts.
