Der chinesische Teppich
Adolf Hackmack's 1921 Hamburg study of Chinese carpets, published by Friederichsen for collectors, dealers and students of Asian textile ornament. Line drawings isolate carpet motifs as flat black-and-white shapes — lotus and peony scrolls, cloud bands, ribboned emblems, bat roundels around a shou character — with hatched fills and clean silhouettes suited to stencils, repeat patterns and logo marks.
