A catalogue of the art and relic treasury of Cologne Cathedral compiled by Franz Bock, canon and vestment scholar, published in Cologne by L. Schwann in 1870 for clergy, antiquarians and church-art restorers. Wood-engraved plates record reliquaries, monstrances, portable altars and book covers in elevation, with Gothic tracery spires, jewelled and enamelled frames, interlace borders and small figure niches that can be lifted as ornament or silhouette.
