A Swiss trade and reference volume on Oriental carpets, written by Carl Meyer-Pünter for the Zürich dealer Meyer-Müller & Co. in 1917, addressed to collectors, decorators and the carpet trade. The plates are colour photographs of whole rugs shown flat and front-on, giving medallion and all-over field layouts, stepped and hooked lozenges, multi-band borders and guard stripes in madder red, indigo and ivory, usable as pattern fills, border rules and palette references.
