A chromolithographic pattern atlas by Heinrich Dolmetsch, published by J. Hoffmann in Stuttgart in 1887, gathering ornament from all historical styles for architects, decorators and craftsmen. Each plate tiles borders, panels, rosettes and grotesque figures together, printed in flat gold, ochre, brick red and blue on dark grounds, giving designers ready repeats, frames and corner motifs.
