Gottfried Semper's "Der Stil in den technischen und tektonischen Künsten," issued in Munich by F. Bruckmann in 1878, is a theoretical handbook on ornament in textiles, ceramics, woodwork and metalwork, addressed to craftsmen, architects and students of design. The plates are outline engravings and hatched line drawings of palmettes, anthemion bands, guilloche mouldings and mosaic borders, useful as clean vector-ready motifs, repeating band patterns and stipple-textured fills.
