Regles des cinq ordres d'architecture
A French edition of Vignola's rules for the five classical orders, engraved by Karl Audran and issued by Pierre Mariette in Paris in 1665 for architects, masons and drawing students. The plates are line engravings of arcades, columns, pedestals, capitals and cornices, each annotated with module measurements and shaded with fine hatching, giving designers ready-made architectural frames, arch openings and repeatable ornament profiles.
