A French-language guide to the picture galleries and antiquities of Sanssouci, Potsdam and Charlottenburg, compiled by court gallery inspector Matthias Oesterreich and printed by Michael Gottlieb Sommer at Potsdam in 1773 for visitors and collectors. The illustrations are small letterpress woodcut vignettes: putti among rococo scrollwork, shells, palm trees and reeds, useful as chapter ornaments, spot decorations and asymmetric cartouche frames.
