Description du cabinet de Monsieur Paul de Praun a Nuremberg
A French-language catalogue of the art and curiosity cabinet assembled by the Nuremberg merchant Paul von Praun, compiled by Christoph Gottlieb von Murr and published in Nuremberg in 1797 with plates engraved by Johann Nussbiegel, addressed to collectors and antiquarians. The engravings reproduce a Latin memorial tablet in fine ruled linework, flanked by grotesque mask heads with drooping mouths and a scrolled cartouche holding a lizard crest, giving designers ready-made inscription frames, mascarons, and heraldic shield shapes.
