A descriptive catalogue of the glass vessels in the South Kensington museum
A museum collection catalogue of glass vessels compiled by Alexander Nesbitt for the South Kensington Museum and printed in London in 1878 for curators, collectors and students of decorative art. Tonal wood-engraved plates isolate single jugs, beakers and handled vases against blank grounds, recording trailed threads, applied prunts, millefiori and enamelled flowers as silhouettes ready for cutting out.
