Descriptive catalogue of ornamental trees, shrubs, roses, flowering plants, &c
A nursery trade catalogue of ornamental trees, shrubs, roses and flowering plants issued by Ellwanger & Barry of Rochester, New York, in 1875 for gardeners, estate owners and the planting trade. The wood engravings show whole specimen trees in silhouette against blank ground, each species built from dense stipple and hatched foliage masses, with weeping, conical and spreading habits usable as stock tree profiles, catalogue vignettes or textured botanical spot art.
