Descriptive catalogue of ornamental trees, shrubs, roses, etc., : cultivated and for sale at the Mount Hope Nurseries, Rochester, N.Y
A nursery sales catalogue of ornamental trees, shrubs and roses issued by Ellwanger & Barry of the Mount Hope Nurseries in Rochester, New York, in 1886, for gardeners and estate planters ordering stock by mail. The wood engravings pair flowering branches and leaf details with small views of whole shrubs and standard trees, drawn in fine parallel hatching on cream stock, giving designers isolated plant motifs, silhouetted tree profiles and repeatable foliage patterns.
