Design in textile fabrics
A technical manual on textile pattern construction by Thomas R. Ashenhurst, published by Cassell in London and New York in 1888 for weavers, designers and students in the textile trades. The plates are flat two- and three-colour prints on tinted grounds: diagonal leaf-and-flower stripes, scrolling foliate repeats in gold on brown, and narrow woven borders, usable as repeating backgrounds, endpapers and stripe motifs.
