Design of intermittently rated motors
An engineering thesis on direct-current motor design submitted by Louis James Butzow at the University of Illinois in 1919, written for examiners and electrical engineers. The plates are blueprint sheets: white hand-lettered curves, axes and formulas on cyanotype grids, giving designers reversed-out line work, graph rules, annotated slopes and technical lettering in deep blue.
