A trade pattern book issued in London in March 1847 by the lithographers Martin & Hood, offering glaziers, decorators and their clients numbered designs for ornamental window glass with explanatory remarks and an index. The 52 lithographed plates show rectangular panels filled with scrolling arabesques, strapwork cartouches, diapers, powdered sprigs and small repeating geometric fills, several with blank medallion centres, all drawn in fine grey-black line on cream ground and usable as repeat tiles, borders or monogram frames.
