A German edition of Vignola's rule of the five orders, revised and enlarged by the Dresden architect Johann Rudolph Fäsch and issued in Nuremberg in 1720 by the print dealer Johann Christoph Weigel for builders, masons and architectural students. The 50 copperplates give elevations and sections of columns, pedestals, cornices and arcades, each ruled with modular scales and keyed by letters to German caption lists, offering clean line profiles, hatched stonework and engraved measuring bars.
