Dessins de meubles
A Paris pattern book of furniture designs issued by Caron aîné, cabinetmaker-draughtsman, published by Aubert in 1835 for working ébénistes and their clients. The 108 hand-coloured lithographs isolate tables, mirror frames and stands on bare cream grounds, with grained mahogany and burl washes, turned baluster legs, scrolled brackets and grey glass panels usable as cut-out silhouettes or texture samples.
