Des sorcières et des devineresses
A 1926 Paris edition from E. Nourry of Ulrich Molitor's late fifteenth-century Latin treatise on witches and soothsayers, issued in French for readers of occult and folklore literature. The seven reproduced woodcuts, cut in plain outline with hatched hills, hedgerow trees and hilltop towers, show witches raising a hailstorm from a cauldron, a woman shooting a man's foot with bow and arrow, a rider on a wolf, and an embracing couple with a cloven hoof.
