A Latin treatise on witches and demons by the Dominican theologian Silvestro Mazzolini da Prierio, printed in Rome by Antonio Blado in 1521 for clergy and inquisitors. The pictures are woodcut initial letters, white forms reserved against stippled or hatched black grounds, sprouting acanthus leaves, buds and a perched bird, useful as drop caps and small ornaments.
