Deutsches Geschlechterbuch (Genealogisches Handbuch bürgerlicher Familien.)
A volume of the Deutsches Geschlechterbuch, the German genealogical handbook of bourgeois families edited by Bernhard Koerner and issued by C. A. Starke in Görlitz from 1889 for family historians and heraldists. Its plates are faint halftone reproductions of miniature and silhouette portraits in oval and octagonal frames, ghosting over printed genealogical text; useful for framed portrait shapes and washed-out vignette textures.
