A German genealogical handbook of bourgeois families, edited by Bernhard Koerner and issued from 1889 by C.A. Starke in Görlitz for family historians and heraldists. The plates are small line-block coats of arms set in Fraktur text: hatched shields, barred helmets, plumed and foliate mantling, crests of animals and human figures, printed in stark black on white.
