Deutsches Geschlechterbuch is a multi-volume German genealogical handbook of middle-class families, edited by Bernhard Koerner and issued by C.A. Starke in Görlitz from 1889, for genealogists and heraldic researchers. The scanned plates are faint halftone portraits, cut-paper profile silhouettes and seal or coat-of-arms fragments, ghosted through by columns of Fraktur genealogical text, giving usable silhouette shapes and layered type textures.
